![]() ![]() “We are thrilled to officially open the Bob Callan Trail extension to the public. The Cumberland trail network connects to the Silver Comet Trail, Mountain-To-River Trail, Noonday Creek Trail and, once fully built out, will connect to the Atlanta BeltLine, among others. The Bob Callan Trail is part of a 60-mile network of multi-use trails that are existing, under development and planned in and around the Cumberland area, with 38 miles already constructed by the CID and area partners. The multi-use pathway connects 32 million square feet of Cumberland commercial space to 840 acres of national parkland. The Bob Callan Trail, now totaling three miles, is a pristine connection to national parkland at the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area (CRNRA), and the completed sections will span from the CRNRA Palisades – Paces Mill Trailhead to south of Windy Hill Road. ![]() The new multi-use pathway will extend the trail north ending short of Windy Hill Road, following along the Rottenwood Creek. The multi-use Bob Callan Trail will connect millions of square feet of Cumberland commercial space to 840 acres of national parklandĬumberland Community Improvement District (CID), in partnership with the Atlanta Regional Commission, Cobb County and the Georgia Department of Transportation, will open the one-mile extension of the Bob Callan Trail in a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, July 25, 2019, at 10 a.m. ![]()
